What does it mean to collaborate on a film project across colonial divides?

Be part of a thought-provoking screening of Faire-Part, a documentary created by two Congolese and two Belgian filmmakers. Together they explore the vibrant world of political art in Kinshasa.

Through the lens of their collaboration, Faire-part delves into pressing questions:

  • Who is the film really for?
  • What does it mean to collaborate on a film project when your partners come from the opposite side of colonial history?
  • What does it mean to use a camera in a place where it evokes both fascination and resentment?

This rare portrait of the Democratic Republic of Congo offers an honest and inspiring reflection on the challenges facing African filmmakers today, as well as the complexities of working across cultural and historical divides.

After the screening, join us for a conversation with invited guests (to be announced soon) and a Q&A session with the audience.

Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with a film that challenges the boundaries of art, politics, and collaboration.
