Cinema Politica Halifax – Films On Critical Issues is celebrating it’s fifth season offering free public screenings. We hope to attract students, faculty and the general Halifax community to an alternative film series that seeks to provoke discussion and debate on current issues focusing on social and environmental justice.
All films presented will be free of charge although donations may be encouraged,at times, to support affiliated non-profits. Following the screenings, discussion of the film and the theme will take place, moderated by a host, to encourage facilitation of information and knowledge. In addition, speakers may be invited on select dates to help discuss the movie through a presentation or a Q&A session.
Be sure to keep an eye on our website and social media for more information. Follow us on twitter @NSPIRG and friend us on Facebook through “Nova Scotia Public Interest Research Group (NSPIRG).”
We’d love to see you at a screening! Any questions, comments or to get involved, please contact us at info@nspirg.ca or (902) 494-6662. www.nspirg.ca
